9 September: Sit Down for Stand Up

On 9 September, 'Sit Down for Stand Up' takes place in the evening, following Dereham Fringe Festival which is being held all day at Dereham Memorial Hall.

The Memorial Hall teamed up with Cosmic Comedy and The Red Card Comedy Club to produce the line-up, bringing some of the comedy circuit's rising stars to Dereham.

TV comedy magician Pete Firmin whose credits include Derren Brown's 3DMagic Spectacular and The Magicians headlines the evening.

Other stars include raunchy Canadian comic Tanyalee Davis from TV's The Last Leg and Live at the Apollo, and Mark Simmona, fresh from Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The MC for the show is multi-award winning comedian, presenter, author and Norfolk boy Tim Fitzhigham. He has previously written and starred in two series of BBC Radio Four's The Gambler and the BBC's Morris Dancing to Norfolk.

Tickets are priced at £13 and are available from the box office via www.ticketsource.co.uk/dereham.

The bar and the burger bar open at 7pm, and the show will begin at 8.30pm.
