7-10 September: Heritage Open Days

Heritage Open Days (HODs) is England's biggest heritage festival celebrating the country's fantastic history, architecture and culture. From Thursday 7 September to Sunday 10 September, there are free events around the country and in Norfolk there are around 270 different attractions or activities to choose from.

In Breckland you can enjoy a trail around the historic highlights of Attleborough, a family afternoon looking at vintage cars, go behind the scenes at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, browse the artisan goods, fresh foods and traditional crafts at a Victorian-themed market, and much more.

Heritage Open Days brochures detailing everything that is on offer are available at The Forum in Norwich, Tourist Information Centres, libraries and many other venues across the county.

The HODs Norfolk brochure is also online.

For many of the events you can turn up on the day and for those that need to be booked, booking is open from 10am on 7 August. The brochure will tell you whether booking is required.
