Breckland Council has a number of funding streams available to both community groups and individual applicants which are managed and administrated on our behalf by the Norfolk Community Foundation (NCF).

Breckland Outdoor Sport and Play Fund

Breckland Outdoor Sport and Play Fund opens for a second round of funding; applications open  January 4th - March 1st 2017 

The funding must be used to provide new free-to-access children's play areas and outdoor sports provision, or to enhance existing facilities. Suitable projects could include slides and swings, multi-use games areas, sports pitches, tennis courts, bowling greens, sports pavilions and changing facilities, or parking related to the provision of these.

First round of applications
Applicants and councillors celebrate £195000 sport and play fund In the first round of applications Breckland allocated around £195,000 to support almost 30 different projects across the district.

Second funding round
a total of £17,776 of Children's Play and £96,521of Outdoor Sport funding is still available across a variety of parish cluster groups within the district and we will be accepting new bids between January 4th and March the 1st 2017. 

The funding is available to local councils, community groups, sports clubs, and charities where they can evidence that significant public access to the facilties will be made available. To find out how much money is available within your Breckland parish area, please contact the Norfolk Community Foundation who are managing the application process on our behalf.
