Consultation on the Main Modifications to the Local Plan
Following the completion of the Examination Hearing Sessions, a schedule of Main Modifications to the Local Plan was published for consultation. The Inspector considers these changes necessary in order for the Local Plan to be found 'sound'.
Representations (comments) were invited in writing on the proposed Modifications from Monday 18th February to 5pm Monday 1st April 2019. (This has now closed)
Representations (comments) were invited in writing following a further six week consultation on main modifications MM18, MM119 and MM148 ONLY from Wednesday 3rd April to 5pm Wednesday 15th May 2019 (This has now closed)
A new six week consultation on main modifications will commence on Thursday 30th May, the comment deadline is 5pm Friday 12th July 2019. This new consultation is necessary as the wording of several modifications was not accurately presented in the corrected version of the Plan that was published. (Documents EX125B, 125B Part 1, EX125B Part 2 and EX125B part 3) and that there were some inconsistencies with and omissions from the Schedule of Main Modifications document (EX 123). As a result the Council has prepared a revised Schedule of Main Modifications (EX 135 and is re-consulting on this Document alone).
In commenting on these modifications you are asked to make representations on whether the plan is (a) legally compliant and (b) sound.
Please note that late representations cannot be taken into consideration by the Inspector or the Council.
