DIY noise can be intrusive, particularly as it is often carried out at evenings and weekends when people are home from work. Try speaking to your neighbour to advise them of the problem, if safe to do so. They may not be aware that the noise from their DIY is affecting you and you may be able to come to a reasonable compromise. Customers who are tenants of housing associations can also report issues to their landlords. This may lead to the problem being resolved swiftly and informally.
