Breckland Council has sold a parcel of land in Thetford to a local Scout group, which will enable the Scouts to potentially develop an even wider a range of programs of physical activity, teamwork, and personal growth.

The Scouts Association Trust bought the land, off Grenville Way, securing the future of the land which is already used by The 3rd Thetford Scout Group.

The sale is a positive step forward in providing youth with opportunities to connect with nature, learn new skills, and build relationships with their peers.

Cllr Paul Hewett, Executive Member for Property, Projects and Procurement said: "The sale of this land is a way to support the future of local organisations and encourage further community engagement. The 3rd Thetford Scout Group had previously been using the land for activities so it is great that through the change of ownership they will be able to develop it further to suit their needs."
