25/06/2024: Breckland Council Celebrates Maxine O'Mahony's Award as Chief Executive of the Year at the Municipal Journal Awards 2024

Breckland Council is delighted to announce that Maxine O'Mahony, Chief Executive of Breckland Council, has been honoured as the Chief Executive of the Year at the Municipal Journal (MJ) Awards. The ceremony took place on Friday, 21 June, in London, recognising outstanding leadership and excellence in local government.

Maxine O'Mahony's award is a testament to her unwavering dedication and visionary leadership at Breckland Council.  Since assuming her role as Chief Executive, Maxine has spearheaded transformative initiatives that have significantly enhanced the quality of life for residents across Breckland. Her commitment to fostering innovation, community engagement, and delivery through partnerships has set new benchmarks for excellence in public service.

The MJ Awards, widely regarded as the pinnacle of achievement in the UK's local government sector, celebrate the hard work and dedication of local authorities and their staff. The Chief Executive of the Year award is given to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and a profound impact on their communities.
