A statement from Breckland's Leader on the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine:

On the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, I salute the unwavering courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people in the face of this ongoing aggression.

Their determination to defend their homeland and their freedoms is nothing short of inspiring. Here in Breckland, we stand firmly with them. I am incredibly proud of the way our community has come together to support our Ukrainian friends and families—both those who have found refuge here and those still in Ukraine.

From offering homes and friendship to raising vital funds and supplies, the people of Breckland have shown extraordinary kindness and solidarity and I thank them for this. As this war continues, so too does our commitment to stand with Ukraine.
