23 & 30 May 2025: Colours of Thetford (for home educating families)

Friday 23 and Friday 30 May 2025 - 10.30am to 12.30pm - You must be able to attend both workshops.

We are inviting Home Educating Families to in with a Thetford-wide art project inspired by Angélica Dass's Humanae project.

Dass's work features photographs celebrating the diverse beauty of human skin. Participants in schools and community groups will learn about Dass's work and explore mixing their own skin colour from paint and describing it.

Participants will create either a painted square, and a self-portrait at artist led sessions at the museum. Their work will culminate in an installation of painted portraits and squares which will be displayed in the town.

Workshops are aimed at children aged 7-11 but older and younger children are welcome too. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Spaces are limited so please book by emailing ancienthouse@norfolk.gov.uk with the subject line Colours of Thetford.
