What happens when my licence is granted?
We will contact you to notify you that your licence has been deemed granted.
We will send your licence to you or the person you have specified on the application form. This can take up to 20 working days.
The licence will list the approved licensable activities and times plus any conditions imposed on it by the Licensing Committee or your operating schedule. You must ensure that you comply with the conditions on your licence and ensure any staff are aware of these as well.
You must display the 'licence summary' at your premises where it can be easily seen by members of the public.
The other pages of the licence should be kept safely at the premises. Police or Council Officers can ask to inspect them at any time.
Your licence information will be publicly available on the public register. This is currently unavailable online due to a software system change. Please contact a member of the Licensing Team should you require any assistance.
If you wish to change your specified activities or times you must apply for a variation.
Your licence will last until it lapses, is surrendered, suspended or revoked. Anannual fee is payable each year on the anniversary of the grant of the premises licence. The amount of the fee payable is based on the rateable value of the premises. A letter advising of the amount of the fee and when it is due will be issued approximately one month before the fee becomes payable. If the annual fee is not paid, a premises licence can be suspended by Breckland Council.
