Low Carbon Regeneration Programme
Supporting businesses in their net zero journey: The Low Carbon Regeneration Programme
Breckland Council's Low Carbon Regeneration Programme was a comprehensive initiative designed to empower businesses to reduce their carbon footprint, save money, and build a more sustainable future.
In partnership with Opergy (opens new window), the programme delivered targeted workshops on net zero-related topics such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, and waste reduction. Participants gained valuable insights through knowledge sharing and industry best practices and had the opportunity to receive a personalised carbon reduction plan for their business, guiding them towards sustainability.
The programme was free for businesses across the district, providing advice, guidance, and support on reducing carbon outputs.
This programme aimed to:
- Provide detailed technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to businesses on the optimal solutions to reduce energy costs and increase the use of renewables, connecting them to existing funding and advice schemes.
- Bring forward solutions for clusters of co-located businesses around potential shared solutions and/or shared benefits.
- Develop a pool of expertise, support, and funding opportunities as a reference point for businesses.
Businesses that participated in the Low Carbon Regeneration Programme received:
- Support and advice on net zero: Guidance on their net zero journey through knowledge sharing and industry best practices.
- Detailed workshops: Access to Opergy's workshops to learn more about achieving net zero ambitions.
- Grants and funding information: Direction towards grants and funding available for net zero projects.
- Networking and collaboration: Opportunities to connect with other businesses in the district and share best practices through workshops and events.
The programme has now concluded. If you have any questions about the project, please get in touch with us on Businessdevelopment@breckland.gov.uk
