Breckland Community Network
We want to build on the many strengths of our local communities so that people can lead happy, healthy, fulfilling lives in Breckland. Community groups and organisations are at the heart of delivering unique and innovative activities to serve this purpose and through Community Networks, we can harness these strengths and create an approach that sees residents across Breckland thrive.
What is the Breckland Community Network?
Breckland Community Network brings together voluntary organisations, community groups and partners at all levels who wish to connect, discuss key topics, share best practice, and learn more about improving health and wellbeing in Breckland.
The Network, aided by regular in-person events and online support, brings like-minded people together to discuss and agree the best ways to overcome barriers, or enhance or develop new initiatives to help improve lives in our district.
Our communities are vital in providing the right system of support to meet people's needs and so it is important they are connected to a network of peers, with the knowledge and expertise to help each other deliver the best services.
Breckland Community Network is free to join.
Community Network Events
Held quarterly, our in-person network events give members the chance to come together to chat, learn and develop new ideas.
Each session includes speakers and organisations who will share their expertise on topics that matter most and could have significant benefit to our Network.
Previous discussion topics have included:
- Health and Wellbeing in Breckland
- Volunteering
- Funding support
- Digital accessibility
Coordinated by the Communities team, all events are bookable online and VCSE organisations will be reimbursed £25 per session attended (subject to remaining grant funding)
The Community Network will receive information on these events through the regular mailing list.

The portal contains content for both emerging groups and those who are well-established, such as the Community Development Toolkit and Mindful Towns partner resources.
Members can also access a forum to ask any questions or queries they may have, so do sign up and explore.
