Arrange a bulky waste collection

Arrange a Bulky Waste Collection of Household Items

Cost for the service

  •  £40 for one to three items
  •  £8 per additional item (up to a maximum of six items from a single household)

Payment for the service will need to be received in advance of the collection.
Please note that this is a non-refundable service.

On day of collection

The items need to be:

  1. Placed at the boundary of your property by 07:00.
  2. Kept within your property boundary, clearly visible and easily accessible for collection.

What we can collect

Bedroom Items

  • Beds
  • Mattresses
  • Headboards
  • Springs
  • Cots
  • Wardrobes
  • Dressing tables and stools
  • Bedside cabinets (whole or dismantled)

 

Garden Items

  • Rotary washing lines
  • Swings and climbing frames (if dismantled)
  • Plant stands and water butts (must be empty)
  • Bikes
  • Garden tables and chairs
  • Ladders, lawnmowers, strimmers (mustn't contain petrol or oil)
  • Sun loungers and BBQs (must be empty)
  • Trampolines (if dismantled)
  • Wheelbarrows and spades
  • Mirrors and plant stands

 

Kitchen Items

  • Dishwashers
  • Fridges and freezers (if food waste is removed)
  • Hoovers and vacuum cleaners
  • Microwaves
  • Washing machines and tumble dryers
  • Cookers, hobs and ovens
  • Ironing boards

 

Living Room and Dining Room Items

  • Three piece suites and stands
  • Sofas, armchairs and associated cushions
  • Bookcases and coffee tables
  • Cupboards and sideboards
  • Carpets, underlay and linos
  • Display units, filing cabinets and desks
  • Display cabinets and wall units
  • Dining tables and chairs
  • Computers, TVs, stereo systems and DVD players

 

Miscellaneous Items

  • Toys, umbrellas and parasols

  • Concrete coal bunker
  • Builder's rubble
  • Tile fire surrounds
  • Window frames and glass
  • Garage doors
  • DIY materials
  • Wood and scrap iron/steel

 

Large or Bulky Items

  • Central heating boilers
  • Motor vehicle parts
  • Vehicle parts
  • Pianos and organs

 

Miscellaneous or Special Disposal Items

  • Dead animals/pets
  • Garden refuse and ride-on lawn mowers

Collection date and items can be changed up to 12:00 on the day before the collection

What can I do with items that cannot be collected

  • Reuse it within your own house, or give it to someone who can.
  • Use a waste bag service available from DIY stores.
