...not just for people themselves but for government and wider society. Despite this it is estimated that over 10 million people have little or no basic digital skills and those who remain offline are getting harder to reach.

Would you like to be a Digital Champion?
If you have good IT skills, here's where you can make a difference as a Digital Champion in your community. Just by supporting others to build their confidence and knowledge with using digital technology you can really help to change their lives. Being a Digital Champion is also an exciting opportunity for you personally to improve your own digital skills and experience.
Digital Champions are people of all ages and from all backgrounds and communities.
They help others understand the benefits of using the internet and can show them how to do simple things online that can make a huge difference to people's lives.
You don't need to be an IT whizz to be a Digital Champion, just have a bit of spare time, an enjoyment of being online yourself and a passion to help others.
What is the Digital Champions Network?
Our Digital Champions Network is an interactive destination that provides learning, tools and a friendly community to help you be a great Digital Champion.
Through the Network's training and support it will build your own knowledge and confidence so you can go on to empower others with the digital skills they need.
Breckland Council's Digital Champions and Get Online initiative, holds digital learning sessions throughout the year, and can show people how they can submit online applications, report issues, make payments online.
As well as showing them how to use council services, the team will also help people learn how to do more online, ranging from using email, staying in touch with friends and family and much much more.
