Housing Land Supply

The Government requires all councils to show there is enough land for new housing for at least the next five years. 

In August 2023, Breckland Council published the 2023 Housing Land Supply report. This shows that Breckland has a 6.6 year supply of deliverable housing land in accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). 

The council also monitors the implementation of policies HOU 03 and HOU 04 of the Local Plan in respect of new housing in Local Service Centres and villages with boundaries. View the latest update (PDF) [671KB] (opens new window) .
