A collector is no longer able to pay you in cash for any scrap metal they collect from you.
Payment can only be made by non-transferable cheque or electronic transfer.
If you are having scrap metal collected you will need to provide formal ID, such as a passport or DVLA driving licence, and the collector will be required to take a copy of this.
When taking scrap to a licensed site you will need to take formal ID with you, such as a passport or DVLA driving licence, and the Site Manager must record these details.
