Voting by Proxy
If you are unable to vote in person, someone you trust who is registered to vote, can vote for you. Your proxy can either go to your local polling station on your behalf or can apply to vote for you by post.
To vote by proxy, you must be registered to vote before midnight on Tuesday 11 February 2025, and your completed application to vote by proxy must be received by 17:00 on Wednesday 19 February 2025.

If an elector has an existing proxy or proxy postal vote and wishes to cancel or amend it the deadline to do so is 17:00 on Wednesday 12 February 2025.
Proxy Postal Voting
If your proxy cannot attend your polling station in person for any reason on the day of the election, they can apply to vote by post. To apply for a proxy postal, the proxy will need to complete a proxy postal application form. If you would like an application form for a proxy to vote by post, please email elections@breckland.gov.uk.
If your proxy has been allocated a proxy postal, you will not be able to vote at the polling station, even if your proxy has not yet voted.
To vote by proxy postal, the application must be completed and submitted by 17:00 on Wednesday 12 February 2025.
