Breckland Council has approved a series of grant funding bids which will help Breckland communities get together to celebrate the coronation of His Majesty, King Charles III.

A total of 73 organisations across the district have been successful in funding bids and will receive a share of around £34,000 . The funding will support coronation celebration events which will bring communities together to mark the historic occasion. The council is also funding the installation of new flagpoles in nine Breckland towns and villages, banners, and giant screen events in each of the district's market towns so people can come together to watch the coronation.

Cllr Alison Webb, Breckland Council's Executive Member for Health & Communities, commented: "It is incredibly important that the celebration of the crowning of our new King is as accessible to everybody across Breckland as possible and these events will enable residents across the district to get involved. I am really pleased that so many organisations have come forward for funding and we've been able to help them put on events for their local communities."
