How do I apply for a Premises Licence?
Please ensure you read the guide for applying for a Premises Licence (PDF) [2MB] (opens new window) andthe guidance notes attached to the application. Any applications submitted with information missing or incorrectly completed applications will be rejected.
A licence may not be held by an individual or an individual in a partnership who is resident in the UK who:
- does not have the right to live and work in the UK; or
- is subject to a condition preventing him or her from doing work relating to the carrying on of a licensable activity
Applicants must demonstrate that they have an entitlement to work in the UK and are not subject to a condition preventing them from doing work relating to the carrying on of a licensable activity. You can do this by providing us with paper or scanned copies of the required documents listed within the application form (which do not need to be certified) or by providing a 'share code' from theHome Office online right to work checking service. You are also required to:
- Submit a plan with your application
- Issue a copy of your completed application form to each of theresponsible authorities (if you apply online we will do this for you). We advise you to provide a draft copy initially to the Licensing Team for checking prior to sending to the Responsible Authorities
- Complete and submit a declaration confirming the issuance of the application to the Responsible Authorities (PDF) [9KB] . (only if not applying online)
- Display a Public Notice (

- Do the proposedlicensable activities of the premises include the supply or sale of alcohol? If so you must also supply a
Designated Premises Supervisor Consent form

- Each premises must have a Designated Premises Supervisor who must hold a current Personal Licence issued by the Local Authority where they live.

This form usually takes about 20 minutes to complete.

Apply for a Premises Licence online
If you don't want to apply online you can complete and return thePremises Licence application form along with therelevant fee and additional documents listed above. You are able to pay by debit or credit card, we will contact you to arrange payment.
Breckland's Licensing Team will acknowledge receipt within three working days. If you have not heard from us within three working days pleasecontact us to check we have received your application.
If there are any amendments necessary to enable us to accept the application we will contact you, please retain a copy of the completed forms you submit.
