Why we need your personal data
  • The provision for community services and community events, including (but not limited to) Mindful Towns, CCTV, community development, and community grants.
  • To provide project updates, including, but not limited to, e-newsletters, training opportunities, and promoting community activity. 
  • For the purposes of the provision of community and/or bursary grant funding, including but not limited to; proof of address, proof of education status, proof of meeting the status criteria
  • This may involve telephone calls and/or emails to obtain further information.
Why we're allowed to use it
  • Article 6.1(e) of the General Data Protection Regulations (Public Task)
  • The Local Government Act
  • Localism Act 2012 
How your data is used
  • The specific purpose of aiding communities' services, community events, and bursary funding.
  • Any data provided will be used when required, and only as necessary, in order to contact you
  • We will not disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing, sales, or commercial use.
  • We will not use your personal data in a way that may cause you harm. 
How long the information is retained
  • A maximum of six years, following which it will be securely archived or destroyed if no longer required.
  • Data for the provision of bursary grant funding is retained for a maximum of one year, following which it will be securely archived or destroyed if no longer required.

  • The provision for Inspiring Communities prevention of vulnerability services, including but not limited to welfare support and delivery of hardship funds.
  • Data includes, but is not limited to:
    • Sharing information with compliant partner agencies
    • Welfare telephone calls
    • Emails
    • Providing financial assistance via bank transfers

  • Article 6.1(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (Consent)
How your data is used
  • Aiding Collaboration Meetings to work effectively.
  • Discussing your case with legitimate agencies and support services.
  • We will not disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing, sales, or commercial purposes.
  • We will not use your personal data in a way which may cause you harm.
How long is the information retained
  • A maximum of six years, after which it will be securely archived or destroyed if no longer required.

Council serviceCommunities Welfare Support & Household Support Fund
Why we need your personal data
  • This includes special category health data, for the purposes of the provision of vulnerability services, including but not limited to welfare support and delivery of hardship funds, including the Household Support Fund. 
  • Data includes, but is not limited to:
    • Sharing information with compliant partner agencies
    • Welfare telephone calls
    • Emails
    • Welfare visits or doorstep safety checks if we have reason to believe you may be extremely vulnerable.
    • Providing financial assistance via bank transfers or purchasing goods directly on your behalf, for delivery at your address
  • We will also collect information classed as "special category data" in relation to your physical or mental health, including details of your disability/ medical conditions and mental health and wellbeing. 

Why we're allowed to use it
  • Article 6.1(e) of the General Data Protection Regulations. (Public Task)
  • Local Government Act.
  • Localism Act. 
  • Article 9 (g) of the General Data Protection Regulations, for reasons of substantial public interest (with a basis in law).

  • Under 6.1(b) of Schedule 1 of the DPA 2018, Statutory and government purposes necessary for reasons of substantial public interest and 6.2(b) the exercise of a function of the Crown, a minister of the Crown or government department 

How your data is used
  • We will only use your data for the specific purpose of undertaking prevention of vulnerability activity including, but not limited to the above.
  • Any data provided will be used when required, and only as necessary, in order to contact you or provide relevant services. 
  • We will not disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing, sales, or any commercial purposes, and we will not use your personal data in a way that may cause you harm.
How long is the information retained
  • A maximum of three years, after which it will be securely archived or destroyed if no longer required.

  • Any data provided will be used when required, and only as necessary.
  • Sharing information (with your consent) with our compliant partner agencies, welfare telephone calls, emails and home visits.
  • We will not disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing, sales, or for any commercial purpose, and we will not use your personal data in a way that may cause you harm.
  • Any data may be used when discussing your case with legitimate agencies and support services.View an up-to-date list of these agencies and support services.
How long the information is retained
  • A maximum of six years, after which it will then be securely archived or destroyed if no longer required.
