How to get a Tree Preserved
Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) are usually served when the tree/s are under some form of demonstrable threat e.g., threat of removal or being pruned inappropriately.
We require the request in writing to treeandcountryside@breckland.gov.uk this is no guarantee that this will result in a TPO being made. The information we require should include:
- Species - if known.
- Full address and postcode of the tree(s)
- A location plan, showing the tree(s) in relation to fixed structures.
- Photographs
- Reasons why you feel that a TPO is necessary.
The Tree Officer will visit the site/tree to assess its suitability for a TPO.
